Once we have recieved your application, if the young person and dog meet the eligibility criteria we will invite you a selection group assessment via zoom. These are held on the 1st Sunday of each month at 9.45am and 7.30pm. The zoom group selection assessment is to assess whether the dogs personality and temprament are suitable for assistance dog training. Once you've completed the selection group assessment we will ask you to complete the foundation written assessment through the virtual learning zone. This involves 1 to 2 hours of reading/ listening and a short written assessment. The written assessment aspect is to ensure you're able to engage with this form of learning and assessment as virtual learning and written assessments make up 20% of the assessments and learning in the Pawsitive Squad assistance dog program.
