Pawsitive Squad CIC Paws of Hope, Paws of Love, Paws of Life |
We are proud to offer assistance dog training for team assistance dogs where a families has 2 or more disabled people within their household. We already have two qualified team assistance dogs, both of which 1 dog support 3 individuals (1 parent & 2 children) as well as 2 parent & child team assistance dogs in training. Whether a team dog is suitable highly depends on each individual circumstance as the tasks required cannot be required by both people at the same time, cannot contradict each others tasks and collectively cannot be an excessive amount of pressure/work for the dog to a level which would compromise their welfare. To be eligible for a team assistance dog, one applicant must meet the pathway A or B criteria and be under 26, the additional person supported doesn't need to meet the eligibility.
