Application Process

Step 1: Initial Enquiry

If you would like to apply for a bespoke support package for a child/ young person, please submit a completed initial enquiry form, completed electronically, to

bespoke-package@pawsitivesquad.co.uk. Please download the enquiry form at the bottom of this page.

Step 2: Create package proposal and allocate application colour

Once we have received your initial enquiry form, we will use the information within it to create a personal bespoke package proposal which will outline whether we will offer a 1:1 or group provision and the modules we aim to include as well as a quote for this.

At the same time we will also allocate a position on our 'pending applicants list'.  Position is based upon other provision accessed currently and priority is given to young people not receiving any provision and Pawsitive Squad current members, this does mean that people who apply after you may access the service before you. To clarify, pending list position is NOT based upon disability and support needs.  If our pending list is full, we will put a notice up on the website and you'll be invited to re-apply at a later date.

Step 3: Parent/carer/ advocate submit the provision request to local authority or school OR consider funding through personal budget

Once we have sent you the proposal, please read this thoroughly. The proposal will be sent as a PDF and therefore should be accessible to screen readers if required. If you need us to make any changes please let us know. Once you're happy with the proposal then the parent/carer/ advocate can submit the proposal and quote to the funder for their consideration.

Where a personal budget has already been allocated which is solely managed by the parent/carer who is permitted to make provision decisions themselves, the parent/carers should then determine whether they wish to use some of the personal budget towards a bespoke package with us. In these circumstances, we ask for parents/carers to give us a decision within 30 calendar days.

Step 4: If funding is agreed either provision starts or estimated timeframe shared.  We have space for up to eight 1:1 bespoke packages and up to twelve young people small group packages. Often, if have space we will start the provision immediately, if we don't have space then we will put you on the waiting list and share an estimated time frame.
