Pawsitive Squad CIC
Paws of Hope, Paws of Love,
Paws of Life
As a non profit organisation, we rely on amazing people to support us to provide our services. We have volunteering roles which maybe of interest to you whether you would like to volunteer with us, virtually or in person or a regular basis or whether you would like to volunteer occasionally such as for an event or camp.
As an organisation supporting children and vulnerable adults we take the safeguarding of our clients very seriously. Therefore, before accepting any volunteer we conduct an enhanced DBS (CRB) check, check 2 references (1 professional, 1 personal) and have an individual virtual interview to determine your suitability for the role.
Our main in person volunteering role is as a therapy dog partnership. This is for individuals living in Nottingham who have a well trained dog with a lovely temperament who wish to volunteer with their dog in our canine assisted activity programs. This role is on a regular basis either weekly or monthly depending on the canine assisted activity program selected.
We have three main virtual volunteering roles. Our virtual support volunteers provide mentoring to clients aged 16 to 25 or parents of clients who benefit from additional support when accessing the program. Our sibling support volunteers run monthly virtual sibling activity groups.
If you would like to occasionally volunteer with us, then we are always looking for volunteers to help us run stalls at community and disability events and to volunteer with us at our paws in tents camps.
