ASDAN Short Courses:

All young people with a developmental age over 12 years old will have a canine centred approach to at least one of the following ASDAN short courses incorporated in their package. We offer the following short courses:

• English 
• Mathematics
• Living Independently 
• Animal care

ASDAN is an awarding organisation approved and regulated in England by Ofqual, in Wales by Qualifications Wales and Northern Ireland by CCEA. 

ASDAN Lifeskills Challenges:

For young people with a developmental age under 12 years old we will automatically include the ASDAN Lifeskills challenges within the first year of their bespoke package with us, occasionally we can extend the Lifeskills challenges to up to 2 years. 

Lifeskills challenges enable us to assign challenges to each learner which work towards the young person's goals & aspirations (listed as outcomes within EHCP's). Challenges are mapped to the four preparing for adulthood pathways. For learners with a developmental age over 3, who are not accessing the ASDAN short courses we will incorporate at least one English and Mathematics challenge per year. Of course as a canine organisation, we will take a canine facilitated or canine centred approach to all challenges. 

Pawsitive Squad Designed Modules:

To support the young people we work with we have created several Pawsitive Squad modules to incorporate into the packages of young people who either have completed all the relevant ASDAN courses and the ASDAN Lifeskills challenges with us, or for young people who all their needs are not met through those programs, we offer tailored, canine centred modules, built around the young persons aims and specialist interest, for example a Canine Palaeontology module.
