We can support you to train your own dog as an assistance dog if you experience low vision/ blindness alongside other needs including intermittent low vision/ blindness connected to FND. 

Please note, we do not train dogs for solely guide work or for guiding in rigid harness. 

Assistive tasks we can train which support if you experiencing low vision or blindness include:

• Maintain walking alongside building edges to keep away from road and obstacles
• Indicate to curbs or tactile paving
• Refuse to cross unless 'checked' cue is given
• Find and lead to empty seat
• Find and lead to lift 
• Find and lead to exit
• Follow the leader
• Indicate to obstacles
• Indicate to crossing button & cone
• Indicate to change in elevation
