Assistance dog program for disabled children, young people and young adults

The session is split into three parts:
1. Practical dog training (you’ll need your dog)
The first 20minutes(ish) of each session is practical dog training. You will need your dog for this part. We introduce you to around 12 new dog training exercises across the program to ensure your dog has strong foundation skills. You might already know some of the behaviours we are training. That's ok! It's great to practice skills even if your dog already knows them to make sure your dog has a strong foundation.
2. Handling theory
The middle of the session covers around 10 minutes of handler theory, discussing how to manage common puppy/behavioural difficulties. These are tailored to the attendees individual dogs and experiences.
3. Assistance dog programme information
The final 10 minutes covers some important information about how the assistance dog program works including showing you around our resources.
